Keynote Speech: The Online Political Evolution

Part 1

My name is Alexander Kent. I am a social worker running for the United States House of Representatives as an Independent because I believe in the Online Political Evolution on Voter Directed Network. I believe in building a modern, online republic with liberty, justice, and freedom for all and evolving into a world with compassion, community, and love for all. 

In the United States different groups of humans have always worked to expand the promise of our republic. We abolished slavery, we expanded voting rights, and we strengthened civil rights. Dedicated, hardworking, and courageous Americans have always worked to build a more perfect Union. And now it is our turn, not to replace our republic or abandon our Constitution. But to start another chapter. 

To modernize and evolve our republic. To move our republic beyond the decades of corruption, division, and violence caused by authoritarian party politics. I believe it is time to fully empower voters, end authoritarian corruption, and bring our democratic republic online and into the Digital Age.

I am running for Congress because I believe our nation can become something extraordinary. A republic where every voter has real political power every single day. A republic where government honestly reflects the real Will of the People. A republic where public service actually means serving the public. This journey to improve our nation can be summarized in three ideas. 

One...Full Voter Empowerment. This means online issue by issue voting on the Voter Directed Network app. One voter. One vote. On all issues. 

Two…Full Anti-Corruption This means ending political corruption. Not reducing it. Ending it. We will end political corruption by removing the financial incentives that pull our nation away from the voters it was created to serve. This looks like a political system with no donors, no lobbyists, no Super PACs, and no political parties. All 4 of those things bring legal corruption, violence, and division into our nation. And none of those 4 mechanisms of authoritarian corruption are in the U.S. Constitution. Please remember that. 

And three...Servant Leadership. The belief that leadership begins with humble service. That public office is not a position of status. It is a responsibility. A responsibility to serve the Will of the voters. 

And Servant Leadership is also a commitment. A commitment to help the people you serve become freer, wiser, healthier, and more capable than before. 

And in order to serve voters on all issues, voters must vote on all issues. Voters cannot be served without being asked. And voters will not be free until the real Will of the People, the compassionate will of the people is implemented on all issues. 

These three ideas that define our campaign: Full Voter Empowerment, Ending Political Corruption, and Servant Leadership are not separate. They strengthen one another.Together they create something larger. A republic empowered by democracy where political power continuously flows from voters to the republic.

But before we talk about our systems...I'd like to talk about our people. Because I believe something else. Something that has only become stronger the more voters I have met. 

I believe that, deep down...very little separates us. I've spoken with thousands of voters. Republicans. Democrats. Independents. People who have never voted. People who never miss an election. All types of people.

And after thousands of conversations...I've noticed something remarkable. Almost everyone wants to arrive at the same destinations. 

For our children...We want safety. For our families...We want stability. For our communities...we want opportunity.

And when given a choice, voters overwhelmingly choose peace over violence.

Health over sickness. Understanding over hatred. Community over division. Wisdom over prejudice. Security over poverty. Education over ignorance. Courage and Hope over fear.

And love… we want love more than anything else. 

The overwhelming majority of Americans are not waking up every morning wondering how to make someone else's life worse. No!. They are just waking up and wondering how they're going to survive their day and try to make life a little better for the people they love. That matters. 

Because if we already share many of the same hopes...then perhaps our greatest challenge isn't each other. Perhaps our greatest challenge is building political systems capable of reflecting those shared hopes and our shared love more honestly.

I believe our country is filled with extraordinary people. People who volunteer. Raise children. Care for aging parents. Coach little league. Teach classrooms. Build and fix businesses, non-profits, roads, utilities, and structures. Create art. Serve meals.  Write music. Heal patients. Protect neighborhoods. And comfort strangers.

Every single day...millions of Americans quietly choose kindness. Not because anyone tells them to. Because that's who they are. That is the America I know. That is the America I've met. That is the USA I love. And I believe our political system should finally begin reflecting the best of who our people already are.

Now...I'd like to ask you to imagine something. Simply as voters. Imagine that you were asked to help design the world's most modern democratic republic. You have today's technology. Today's communication. Today's computing power. Today's ability to connect millions of people.

How would you build it? Would you ask voters what they want only once every two or four years? Or would you create a system where voters could participate continuously?

Would government guess what people want? Or would it simply ask? Would transparency be optional? Or expected? Would voter collaboration be rare? Or become the foundation of democracy itself?

These big questions are no longer hypothetical or philosophical because of the Voter Directed Network app. For the first time in history...these questions of political evolution are practical. And I believe answering them may become one of the most important responsibilities of the Digital Age and modern era.. 

Because I believe that a republic with political freedom for all, liberty for all, and justice for all is not a distant dream. I believe that today, with our modern technology, this is a practical goal. An achievable goal. As long as we are willing to continue the American tradition of political evolution.

And this evolution has a name. We call it… The Online Political Evolution. And now, I'd like to show you what that evolution and future actually looks like.

Part 2

Every great evolution in human history begins with a simple realization. There is a better way. Not because everything that came before was wrong. But because humanity learned something new.

Today...I believe we are standing at the beginning of another one of those moments. Not an evolution in technology. Not an evolution in science. An evolution in how free people choose to govern themselves.

Imagine waking up on a Monday morning. You pour yourself a cup of coffee. You open one app. Not to scroll endlessly. Not to argue with strangers. Not to consume outrage. You open one app because your government has asked for your voice.

You open the Voter Directed Network and you see there are three issues before Congress this week. One concerns veterans. Another concerns farm policy. Another concerns education. You aren't told what to think. You aren't manipulated by algorithms. You aren't pressured by political parties.

Instead...you are trusted. Trusted to read. Trusted to listen. Trusted to learn. Trusted to think. Trusted to vote.

You open the first issue. It was published 10 hours ago, which means it will be open for 6 Days and 14 hours more for discussion and voting. 

You see a Title, Topics, and the Statement. You see two tabs for participation. The Discussion tab and the Voting Tab. You check the Discussion tab. There are comments, replies, and an Agree/Disagree reaction on everything. 

You check the Voting Tab. This statement has been distilled down to a Yes/No question but other statements had a multiple choice, ranked choice, or Agree/Disagree question. 

You then realize that there are no echo chambers. Everything on Voter Directed Network is visible to all verified voters. Nothing hidden. Nothing manipulated. No secret negotiations. No smoke-filled rooms. Just information. 

It creates a voter directed political process for all issues at all levels that is Transparent. Accessible. Respectful. You spend five minutes on this issue. Maybe ten. You cast your vote because your government is actually listening. This is how our republic empowered by a modern and evolved online democracy could work at all levels, for all issues.

Later that evening on Voter Directed Network your neighbor reaches a different conclusion. That's okay. You talk. You listen. Maybe one of you changes your mind. Maybe neither of you does. But neither of you is the enemy. You're simply two voters participating in the oldest democratic tradition there is. Self-government.

By Friday… every Representative… every Senator… every Governor… every Mayor… every City Council member… knows exactly what the verified voters they represent actually want. Not what a poll guessed. Not what a consultant predicted. Not what a donor requested. Not what a political party demanded. The openly determined Will of the People.

Imagine that. Imagine never again wondering… "Does my Representative know what we want?" Because they would. Imagine never wondering… "Who are they really representing?" Because everyone could see. Imagine never hearing someone say, "I wish politicians would listen." Because listening would become the job.

Online, issue by issue voting is real political freedom. Because political freedom is not simply the freedom to elect people every year. Political freedom is knowing your voice matters every time your government makes a decision. Political freedom is being free as a collective of voters to create all of the Social, Political, and Economic systems you live under at all levels of government. Political freedom is participating. Continuously. Collaboratively. Peacefully. Constructively. Together.

This is why we call it the Online Political Evolution. Because this is about far more than technology. Technology is simply the bridge. The destination… is trust. Trust between voters. Trust between communities. Trust between voters and their government. Trust earned through openness. Through transparency, accountability, and participation.

Our campaign created Voter Directed Network because no such system has ever existed. For the first time… verified voters can discuss issues. Collaborate with one another. Learn from experts. And vote issue by issue. In order to openly determine the real Will of the People. 

One voter. One vote. On all issues. That is not just a slogan. It is a philosophy. It is a declaration that every voter deserves an equal voice and equal power. Not equal only when you elect someone. Equal every day.

Now… some people hear about the Online Political Evolution and immediately ask, "Wouldn't that be chaotic?" I actually believe the opposite. Chaos comes from confusion. Chaos comes from secrecy. Chaos comes from people feeling unheard. When people know they have a voice… they become more invested. More thoughtful. More collaborative. Not less

Think about your own life. When someone genuinely asks for your opinion… when they sincerely listen...how do you respond? You engage. You contribute. You become part of the solution. Our republic should treat every voter with that same respect.

Imagine your Representative saying, "My job is no longer to guess what my district wants." "My job is to ask." Imagine your Governor saying, "I'm not making this decision alone." "I'm making it with millions of informed citizens." Imagine your Mayor, school board, county board, and Congress all asking their voters on all issues. Imagine environmental policy shaped by scientists, business owners, hunters, and the communities who actually live with the consequences. Imagine government becoming a conversation...instead of an argument.

The Online Political Evolution isn't about replacing representatives. It's about empowering them. Imagine being an elected official for a moment. Instead of relying on polling firms… consultants… party leadership… special interests… donors… or your own assumptions… you simply ask the people you serve. How should I represent you? 

Thousands answer. Tens of thousands answer. Sometimes hundreds of thousands answer. Not anonymously. Verified. Through a Transparent. Constitutional. Peaceful political process. 

Now imagine how much wiser your decisions become. Because now they are informed by the collective knowledge, experience, wisdom, and creativity of an entire community. No human being knows everything. But together...communities know far more than any one elected official and their advisors ever could.

That is why I believe the Online Political Evolution is inevitable. Not because of technology. Because wisdom grows when people work together. Because democracy grows stronger when citizens participate. Because freedom grows stronger when power is shared. And because all voters inherit the responsibility to improve the republic it leaves behind. And the Online Political Evolution is the greatest improvement of political systems that our nation and the world has ever seen.

So I want to ask you one simple question. Not as a voter. Not as a member of any political party or an Independent. Just simply as a human being. If we already possess the technology… If we already possess the knowledge… If we already possess the ability to ask every voter on …every issue Then why wouldn't we?

Why wouldn't we build a republic that reflects the full wisdom of its people? Why wouldn't we create a government that asks before it acts? Why wouldn't we choose political freedom that is lived every week… instead of vaguely remembered every election? 

I believe we can. I believe we will. And I believe future voters will look back on this moment… the same way we look back on every great expansion of democracy. Not as the end of our republic… but as the moment we chose to fulfill its promise.

But if we are going to build a republic this honest… this transparent… and this voter-directed… there is one obstacle we must confront together. Political corruption. Because no political system—no matter how beautifully designed—can truly represent the people if money speaks louder than voters. And that's where our journey continues.

Part 3

Voters in every republic inherit two responsibilities. To preserve what is good. And to improve what is not. I believe our Constitution is one of humanity's greatest achievements. Not because it is perfect. But because it begins with a remarkable belief. That political power belongs to the people. Everything else should follow from that simple idea. Government exists to serve the people. Not the other way around. 

So let me ask a simple question. If political power belongs to the people… what happens when political influence belongs to money? Something changes. Something becomes distorted. Authoritarian dynamics immediately begin to emerge. The Will of the People is ignored. The voice of the voter begins to compete with something it should never have to compete with. Financial influence.

Not because money is evil. Money builds homes. Money starts businesses. Money funds hospitals. Money helps families. Money is an incredible tool. But when money buys elections and political influence… government slowly stops asking, "What do voters want?" and begins asking, "What will our biggest supporters allow?" That is the beginning of political corruption and authoritarianism.

Corruption is actually much simpler than we often make it. Corruption happens whenever political decisions move away from the openly determined Will of the People. Sometimes that corruption is illegal. Much more often...it is perfectly legal. Donors, lobbyists, Super PACs, and political parties are all legal forms of political corruption. It is always important to remember that none of those four legal mechanisms of political corruption are in the U.S. Constitution. But they have all been made legal by the authoritarianism of party politics. And legal...does not always mean just. History has taught us that lesson again and again.

Imagine walking into your child's classroom. The teacher announces, "Today every student gets one vote." Then quietly adds, "Unless someone paid for five." We would never accept that. Imagine stepping into a courtroom… where justice could be purchased. We would reject it immediately. Imagine a sporting event… where one team begins the game with twenty extra points because they wrote a larger check. No one would call that fair competition. So why should democracy and our republic accept rules we would reject everywhere else? Our republic deserves better. Our children deserve better. Our Constitution deserves better.

One of the most remarkable things about the Constitution… is what it doesn't say. It doesn't establish Super PACs. It doesn't establish lobbyists. It doesn't establish billion-dollar fundraising systems. It doesn't establish permanent political parties. Those structures developed over time. Some have contributed valuable ideas. Some have organized voters. But many have also accumulated extraordinary influence over political decision-making. Enough influence that millions of Americans—regardless of political party—no longer believe government truly represents them. This is why Independents- not Democrats, not Republicans- have been the largest voting bloc in the United States. Neither political party has implemented the real Will of the People on major life and death social, political, and economic issues when it has the power to do so. So of course voters do not trust this obviously violent, corrupt, and authoritarian party controlled system. And when trust begins to disappear… democracy becomes fragile. And rebuilding trust then becomes one of the highest responsibilities of leadership.

This is why our campaign made an unusual decision. We don't accept donations. Not because campaigns don't need resources. But because I want to demonstrate something. Representation should never depend upon contribution. Whether someone contributes a million dollars… or nothing at all… their vote… their dignity… their humanity… remain exactly equal. That's the republic I believe in. A republic where all voters are created equal. 

Now imagine another future. Imagine every major political decision beginning with one question. "What do the voters want?" Not, "What will the donors think?" Not, "What will party leadership approve?" Not, "What will help me in the next election?" Simply..."What do the people want?" Imagine how many conversations would immediately change. Imagine how much unnecessary conflict would disappear. Imagine how many politicians would rediscover why they entered public service in the first place.

Political corruption doesn't only cost money. It costs trust. It costs hope. It costs participation. Eventually… people stop believing their voice matters. And when citizens stop believing they matter… democracy begins to weaken from within. I refuse to believe that is our future.

I believe something entirely different. I believe Americans are hungry for honesty. Hungry for transparency. Hungry for accountability. Hungry for leadership that says, "I don't want more power. I want to give you, the voters, real political power." That is the spirit of this movement.

This is why the Online Political Evolution matters so deeply. Transparency and accountability are the only solutions to corruption. Imagine every major issue publicly discussed. Every proposal openly available. Every vote clearly counted. Every representative able to compare their own vote with the openly expressed Will of the People. Not hidden. Not guessed. Not manipulated. Visible. Accountable. Honest….Transparency changes behavior. People act differently when everyone can see.

And perhaps the most hopeful part of all… this transformation does not require violence. It does not require revolution. It does not require tearing down our republic. Voters only have to choose a voter directed online political system on Election Day. That’s it. A republic with full voter empowerment and full anti-corruption in a voter directed online political system with issue by issue voting is possible whenever voters elect a voter directed President.  One election. One big win for democracy, republicanism, and liberty, justice, and freedom for all. 

The success of the Voter Directed movement will be realized with the creation of Voter Directed Network dot gov…When enough voters unite behind the idea of peaceful, Independent voter empowerment by electing a Voter Directed President of the United States, who creates Voter Directed Network dot gov the Online Political Evolution, the Voter Directed Movement will be successful. The broken, flawed, immensely corrupt, often violent, incredibly divisive, and undeniably authoritarian party controlled political system will never choose to reduce its own power and control. This evil system will never change itself… But voters can choose to evolve it. 

I often hear people say, "Politics has become too divided." I understand why they feel that way. But I see something different. I don't believe Americans are fundamentally divided. I believe Americans have been asked to compete inside a system that rewards division. All authoritarian political structures are divide, conquer, and control systems. For authoritarianism to even exist, populations must be divided and forced to compete against each other socially, politically, and economically rather than do what humans naturally gravitate towards- collaborate with each other. 

But when incentives change… behavior changes. When systems change… cultures change. When voters become collaborators instead of competitors… something beautiful begins to happen. People start solving problems together. We see how wonderfully and instinctively collaborative humanity can be in other parts of our society. In every other part of society success is the result of human collaboration. A modern and evolved, honest and transparent, logical and intuitive, independent and online political system can function the same way.

Because here's something I've learned after talking with thousands of voters. Most Americans are remarkably reasonable. Most people are willing to listen. Most people are capable of changing their minds. Most people care deeply about their families… their communities… their country. The loudest voices are rarely the largest group. The quiet majority… is often wiser than we imagine and more compassionate than any major media outlet will admit. And Voter Directed Network was built to give that quiet wisdom and compassion of the vast majority of voters a voice.

So I don't see this movement as being against anyone. Not against Republicans. Not against Democrats. Not against elected officials. Not against business. This movement is for something greater. It is for modernizing and evolving our political system. It is for the people. One voter. One voice. One equal vote on all issues.

And when political power truly begins flowing upward from citizens instead of downward through institutions… something extraordinary becomes possible. Government officials become public servants…. Not ruling. Listening. …Not assuming. Representing. …Not persuading. Serving.

Because that… more than anything else… is what democracy has always been trying to become.

But even the most honest political system still depends on one thing. The character of the people entrusted to lead it. Political evolution requires something more than better systems. It requires better leadership. Leadership that understands power is not something to possess… but something to share. Leadership that measures success not by status… but by the growth of those being served. That kind of leadership has a name. Servant Leadership. And I believe it is the leadership philosophy our republic has been waiting for.

Part 4

If we build a more honest political system… if we end legal political corruption… if we fully empower voters voters… if we create a republic that openly determines the Will of the People...one question still remains. What should leadership look like?

For decades… our culture has often taught us that leadership means being first. Being strongest. Being loudest. Winning. Defeating opponents. Accumulating influence. Standing above others. But I believe leadership should begin somewhere entirely different- service. Leadership should begin by asking one simple question. Who can I help?

This leadership philosophy- called Servant Leadership- has profoundly shaped my own thinking. Robert K. Greenleaf introduced the modern world to an evolutionary idea. The great leader… is first… a servant. Think about how radically different that is.

Not a ruler. Not a celebrity. Not a boss. A servant. Someone who understands that leadership is not about elevating themselves. It is about elevating others.

Greenleaf gave us one of the most beautiful tests of leadership I have ever encountered. He asked us to judge leaders by a simple question. Do the people being served become healthier… wiser… freer… more autonomous… and more likely themselves to become servants?

Just listen to those words. Health. Wisdom. Freedom. Autonomy. Those aren't simply leadership goals. Those are the aspirations of a free republic. Those are the aspirations of humanity itself. Those goals are also reflected precisely in the preamble of the U.S. Constitution. 

Imagine evaluating every elected official that way. Not by how many followers they have. Not by how often they appear on television. Not by how clever their political attacks are. Imagine asking only this. Are the people becoming freer? Are families healthier? Are communities wiser? Are children growing up with more opportunity? Are citizens becoming more capable of governing themselves? If the answer is yes… that is good leadership. If the answer is no… it doesn't matter how successful someone appears their actions are not good leadership.

Greenleaf asked one more question. Perhaps an even more important one. He asked, What happens to the least privileged? Do they benefit? Or are they left further behind? That question has stayed with me. Because every society is ultimately measured not by how it treats the powerful… but by how it treats those with the least power.

In a republic...who are the least politically powerful?

The voters and our children. The vast majority of voters- 99% of voters- are oppressed in some way by the social, political, and economic authoritarianism of party politics. 

Not because voters lack wisdom. Not because voters lack compassion. But because for decades… their voices have been limited by authoritarian party politics.

Voters have been heard occasionally. Instead of continuously. Consulted periodically. Instead of consistently. Trusted during elections. Then often forgotten afterward. That is exactly what we are trying to change.

Imagine a republic where every elected official begins every morning with one thought. How can I better serve my community today? Not… How can I improve my career? Not… How can I win the next election? Not… How can I defeat another political party? Simply… How can I serve? Imagine how different our politics would become. Imagine how different our culture would become. Imagine the example we would set for our children.

Because leadership is contagious. When leaders choose humility… communities become more humble. When leaders choose honesty… communities become more honest. When leaders choose compassion… people more often choose compassion. Leadership always teaches. Whether intentionally… or unintentionally.

Now imagine combining Servant Leadership… with Voter Directed Democracy, voter controlled republics, and the Voter Directed Network app.

Imagine an elected official receiving the openly determined Will of the People. Not seeing it as an inconvenience. Not seeing it as a threat. Seeing it as a gift. Seeing it as an opportunity to serve more faithfully. Imagine saying, "My community has spoken. Now my responsibility is to serve them with everything I have." That is the republic I believe we can build.

Imagine legislatures at all levels filled with servant leaders. Imagine elected officials who measure success by the well-being of their citizens. Who celebrate neighborhoods instead of political victories. Who see every child as their responsibility. Imagine elected official who leave office with less concern for their own legacy… and greater satisfaction that their communities became stronger. That is not naïve. That is leadership.

I believe one of the greatest misunderstandings in politics...is that power changes people. Sometimes it does. But more often… power reveals people. It reveals whether someone seeks recognition… or responsibility. Whether someone desires control… or service. Whether someone wants followers...or fellow citizens.

Our republic does not need heroes. It needs servants. Not because servants think less of themselves. Because servants think more often about others. There is tremendous strength in humility. There is tremendous courage in listening. There is tremendous wisdom in sharing power instead of accumulating it.

This is why I believe Servant Leadership is not simply compatible with democracy. I believe it is democracy's natural leadership philosophy. A government of the people… by the people… and for the people… requires leaders who genuinely love the people. Who trust the people. Who believe the people possess extraordinary wisdom when they are invited to participate together.

Over the past several years...I have spoken with thousands of voters. Those conversations have changed me. Again and again… I have encountered kindness. Curiosity. Humility. Patience. Compassion. The media often amplifies conflict. Campaigns often amplify conflict. Social media often amplifies conflict. But face-to-face… human beings are remarkably good. That has become one of my deepest convictions.

I believe humanity is fundamentally oriented toward cooperation. Toward family. Toward community. Toward helping. Toward creating. Toward building. Toward loving. Those qualities already exist within us. Our political systems should begin bringing out the best of those qualities...instead of rewarding the worst.

So perhaps the future of our republic… isn't merely technological. Perhaps it is deeply human. Perhaps the Online Political Evolution isn't ultimately about software. Perhaps it is about creating conditions where wisdom… compassion… service… and courage become the incentives of public life. Where serving others once again becomes the highest honor in government.

And if we can build political systems that reward service instead of ego… cooperation instead of division… truth instead of manipulation… then we won't simply improve politics. We'll improve the culture that politics helps create.

Because leadership always flows downstream. And when servant leaders begin serving voter-directed communities… those communities begin producing even more servant leaders. Generation after generation. That… is how republics become stronger. That… is how freedom becomes more secure. That… is how our democratic republic evolves.

And when we combine… a voter-directed republic… a transparent online political system… an end to corruption… and servant leadership… something extraordinary begins to emerge. Not merely a different government. A different relationship...between voters… and one another. Because ultimately… this movement has never been about politics alone. It has always been about people. And that is where I'd like to leave you.

Part 5

As we come to the end of our time together… I'd like to leave you with one final thought. Throughout history… humanity has always been given moments of choice. Moments when we were asked… not what was easy… but what was courageous, wise, and just. There was a time when ending slavery seemed impossible. There was a time when expanding voting rights seemed impossible. There was a time when civil rights seemed impossible. All U.S. voters inherit an unfinished chapter of freedom. All U.S. voters have been asked asked to write one more page. Now...it is our turn.

I believe history will remember this time for one question. Will we continue allowing political power to become more centralized and authoritarian via party politics or will we peacefully evolve and fully empower voters like democracy, republicanism, and our Constitution demands? That is the choice before us. Not someday. Now.

I believe something remarkable about humanity. I believe most people are good. Not perfect. Not always correct. But fundamentally good. Most parents are trying to raise kind children. Most workers are trying to provide for their families. Most neighbors want peaceful communities. Most people want meaningful lives. Most people hope. Most people love. Most people simply want the opportunity to flourish. That has become one of the deepest convictions of my life. And if that is true...then our political systems should finally begin reflecting the goodness that already exists within our people.

Because I have learned something after thousands of conversations with voters. The best parts of humanity… have no political party. Love… has no political party. Kindness… has no political party. Compassion… has no political party. Curiosity… has no political party. Justice… has no political party. Wisdom… has no political party. Discipline… has no political party. Creativity… has no political party. Laughter has no political party. Music has no political party. Helping a neighbor after a storm… has no political party. Holding the hand of someone you love… has no political party. Comforting a grieving friend… has no political party.

The greatest parts of being human… have always belonged to humanity itself. So why shouldn't our republic reflect the very best of who we already are?

For too long...we have been taught to fear one another. To sort ourselves into opposing teams. To believe that someone we've never met... someone raising a family hundreds of miles away… someone who simply voted differently… is somehow our enemy. I don't believe that. I never will. The vast majority of Americans are not each other's enemies. We have simply inherited political systems that too often reward division instead of understanding. But systems can evolve. Cultures can evolve. People can evolve. And republics can evolve.

The Online Political Evolution is not a rejection of America. It is an expression of faith in America. Faith that our Constitution still points us toward self-government. Faith that democracy and republicanism are still two of humanity's greatest ideas. Faith that ordinary citizens possess extraordinary wisdom when we invite them to work together. Faith that the American experiment is still unfinished.

Imagine what our grandchildren might someday consider normal. Imagine children growing up believing that government naturally asks citizens before making major decisions. Imagine representatives who proudly say, "I don't represent a political party. I represent my voters." 

Imagine campaigns built on listening instead of attacking. Imagine disagreements becoming opportunities to learn instead of reasons to hate. Imagine transparency replacing suspicion. Imagine participation replacing apathy. Imagine collaboration replacing partisanship. Imagine a republic where political freedom is not something we celebrate only on Independence Day… but something we practice every single week. That is the future I see. Not because I am naïve. Because I believe in our people.

Some will say this vision is too ambitious. History says otherwise. Every expansion of freedom has sounded impossible...until it happened. The abolitionists were told to be realistic. The suffragists were told to be patient. The civil rights movement was told to wait. Liberty and Progress has always belonged to those willing to imagine a better future before everyone else could see it. The Online Political Evolution is no different. Every great movement begins with a handful of people willing to imagine together.

One day… When voters elect a voter directed President millions of Americans will open a platform built for voter discussion, voter collaboration, and weekly voting. They will discuss. They will learn. They will agree and disagree respectfully. They will collaborate. They will vote.

And together...they will openly determine the real Will of the People. Not because someone forced them. Because they chose it. That day… our republic will not become something new. It will become more fully itself. A republic truly empowered by democracy.

And perhaps… years from now… someone will ask, "When did the Online Political Evolution begin?" Some will point to an election. Some will point to a piece of technology. Some will point to a movement. I think they'll all be mistaken.

Political evolution begins much earlier than that. It begins... the moment ordinary people decide to trust one another more than they trust systems built on fear.

It begins when voters choose courage over cynicism. Hope over despair. Community over division. Service over power. Truth over manipulation. That is where every peaceful evolution begins. In the human heart.

So today… I am asking you for something much bigger than your vote. I am asking for your imagination. Imagine a republic where every voter matters equally. Imagine a government that listens before it acts. Imagine leadership measured by service. Imagine children inheriting political systems wiser than the ones we inherited. Imagine looking back twenty years from now and saying,

"We were the voters that brought our republic into the Digital Age." "We were the voters that fully empowered voters and ended political corruption peacefully." "We were the voters that chose hope."

Because I believe… with all my heart… that our greatest days are still ahead of us. I believe the United States is filled with courageous… compassionate… creative...hardworking people.

I believe our diversity is one of our greatest strengths. I believe our communities are filled with wisdom waiting to be heard. I believe our children deserve political systems worthy of their future. And I believe… that when history remembers the voters alive today… it will not remember us for the problems we inherited. It will remember us for the courage we had to solve them.

So let us build something worthy of those who came before us. And worthy of those who will come after us. Let us build a republic that reflects the intelligence… the compassion… the courage… and the hope… already living within the American people.

Let us build a republic where every voter has an equal voice. Let us build a republic where government truly serves the people. Let us build the first fully voter-directed democratic republic in human history. Together. Peacefully.

I’m a voter directed Independent candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin’s 3rd District for the November 3rd 2026 U.S. Midterm Elections.

I am a social worker, father, husband, and the author of Voter Directed Democracyand the founder of Voter Directed Network.

We believe that it is time to evolve politically as a country and collectively choose an online political system of true and full political freedom, real self-governance, and transparent popular sovereignty on all issues. It is time to actually follow the U.S. Constitution and see what will happen when the real Will of the People is relentlessly sourced and implemented and voters’ collective wisdom, knowledge, and compassion are truly respected and fully empowered to create all of our social, political, and economic systems.

We are running a Voter Empowerment campaign and believe in:

“One voter, one vote on all issues.”

We support honest and transparent, modern and evolved, accountable and peaceful, online and independent democratic republicanism where all voters Yes/No vote on all issues, legislative bills, and executive orders and the democratic republic follows this clear, precise, and objectively determined Will of the People.

An Independent voter directed/voter controlled democratic republic is 100% consistent with the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Constitution does not include political parties because they always fall to corruption. Party controlled government is an authoritarian divide and conquer political system and a corruption of the values, principles, and ideology of democracy and republicanism within the U.S. Constitution. All political parties function to centralize and consolidate political power away from voters. Thus all political parties are authoritarian political structures. Both political parties in the U.S. are beholden to and serve the will of the authoritarians who fund and control both parties. Party politics is designed to create an Illusion of Choice and control voters. In contrast to party politics, representing voters in a real democracy via a constitutional republic has always required the same thing. What does real political representation actually look like? Asking voters. Ask voters on everything, they will tell you what they need and then the republic does it. It is truly that simple. A republic must relentlessly- 24/7/365- openly and transparently source and then implement the real Will of the People. The peaceful political evolution of “one voter, one vote on all issues” solves all of the problems related to the functioning of democracy and our republic. It puts real Yes/No political power where it should always be in a republic- equally distributed in the hands of all voters on all issues. The vast majority of voters are oppressed to some extent and have been ignored for decades. This is why for decades we have the same huge systemic problems, the same lack of human rights, the same problems of violence, greed, and all forms of prejudice no matter which political party happens to have more power. Keep your focus on the immensely powerful systems that have been in power for decades, if not centuries, behind the individuals that come and go.

We are also running an Anti-Corruption campaign and believe that:

“No donors, no lobbyists, no Super PACs, and no political parties using money to corrupt our republic.”

We are trying to get as much money out of elections and political decision making as possible. To this end, we are NEVER taking anyone’s money EVER- no donors, no lobbyists, no Super PACs, and no political parties interfering with our voter directed political process. We are just trying to represent voters in this honest, transparent, modern, and evolved way. As a voter directed Independent our campaign is proving that you can and should ask voters Yes/No on every issue using the internet and that you can run a federal election campaign without the corrupting influence of money. The system and political theory of party politics enables and perpetuates immense corruption of our political system. Almost all of our systemic social, political, and economic problems that have gone unresolved for decades can be traced back to corruption created by party controlled politics. This is why political parties are not in the U.S. Constitution. Political parties always fall to corruption because they are inherently authoritarian political structures. Political parties were never created to represent voters. They were created to divide, conquer, and control voters. Honestly and transparently representing voters is easy and always has been. Just ask voters on all issues and do it.

All political donations come with an expectation of elected official action. Even a small $5 donation comes with an expectation and thus is a form of mild political corruption. To be clear, if you use over $5k to get elected you didn’t win anything. You paid for the win and bought the election. Party politics has always been a money game that was created to serve the will of authoritarians, destroy the republic, and ignore the Will of the People. Real political representation and full political freedom in any democratic republic can only ever exist by asking all voters on all issues.

For any election, decision, or issue in any democratic republic at any level of government, the best ideas should always win- not what platform/party/candidate/industry/ corporation/institution spent the most money on ads and propaganda. In a republic, having more money should never give you more political power.

Lastly, we are also running a Servant Leadership campaign because:

“A servant-leader focuses primarily on the growth and well-being of people and the communities to which they belong. While traditional leadership generally involves the accumulation and exercise of power by one at the “top of the pyramid,” servant leadership is different. The servant-leader shares power, puts the needs of others first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible.”- Greenleaf.org

Writing the Voter Directed Democracy political theory was partially inspired by the essay The Servant as Leader by Robert K. Greenleaf, which was first published in 1970. This essay is what started the Servant Leadership movement, which, in short, is “a non-traditional leadership philosophy, embedded in a set of behaviors and practices that place the primary emphasis on the well-being of those being served” (Greenleaf.org). I have been studying Servant Leadership extensively since I attended Viterbo University here in La Crosse, which offers Servant Leadership classes, certificates, and a graduate degree. I personally support this leadership philosophy and have seen the incredible impact this philosophy can have on a community as many organizations and businesses around my city of La Crosse, Wisconsin have implemented this leadership model with remarkable success. Similar to the political philosophy of Voter Directed Democracy, the leadership philosophy of Servant Leadership is grounded in values of honesty, transparency, compassion, and relentless listening. I would encourage any leader, executive, administrator, or official in any for-profit, non-profit, or public service government structure to choose Servant Leadership as their leadership philosophy. I believe the Servant Leadership philosophy can work hand-in-hand with the political philosophy of republicanism, democracy, and Voter Directed Democracy; however, I do not believe that openly supporting or embracing Servant Leadership should be a prerequisite for a Voter Directed Elected Official or candidate. Each Voter Directed Elected Official or candidate and voter should form their own opinion about the Servant Leadership philosophy. Nevertheless, I was deeply inspired by this leadership philosophy when I began to write and develop the Voter Directed Democracy political philosophy.

As voter directed candidates we also believe in standing against Negative Identity Politics.
