Compassion is the Way

What really matters, what truly matters in any democratic republic is the Will of the People. That’s all that matters for every single social, political, and economic issue. That is what I believe and I will forever stand by this idea. The objectively and transparently determined Will of the People is what any democratic republic should ALWAYS follow. As individuals, however, humans of course have many different social, political, and economic opinions. This is a good thing. Political diversity, political disagreement, political faction is a feature, not a bug, of a healthy and vibrant democracy.

I explained this in the Voter Directed Democracy book but my personal social, political, and economic philosophies do share a common belief system and many common values. I am completely unified socially, politically, economically, and spiritually under my most important value. All of us can of course have many values, principles, and virtues that we aspire to follow. But my number one, primary, most important value is compassion. In all of my social, political, and economic opinions and philosophies I prioritize compassion.

This is because ALL social, political, and economic problems can be described and then solved in a similar, compassion-driven way. All descriptions of social, political, or economic problems assert that a particular social, political, or economic group of humans is suffering systemically and then it explains why. Acting compassionately in a systemic way in response to the description of suffering is an act to alleviate the described human suffering.

All descriptions of systemic social problems are the same and essentially start with a statement that “This social group of humans is suffering systemically because…” All descriptions of systemic economic problems are the same and essentially start with a statement that “This economic group of humans is suffering systemically because…” All descriptions of systemic political problems are the same. For example, the political philosophy in the Voter Directed Democracy book is a description of the systemic suffering the political group called voters endure because we exist in very corrupt, broken, and increasingly authoritarian party-driven Flawed Democracies and other less-democratic government systems that create and perpetuate a huge disconnect between the Will of the People and the Public Agenda. To alleviate this suffering that voters endure voters must choose compassion and collectively choose to modernize and evolve our political systems and create Voter Directed democratic republics at all levels of government.

In fact, compassion is the only way if actually solving our social, political, and economic problems is the goal of government. If you understand what compassion truly is, it is easy to conclude that choosing compassion to solve our social, political, and economic problems is the best mental, emotional, spiritual, AND RATIONAL choice humanity can collectively make to improve our flawed, corrupt, and broken government regulated systems that create and perpetuate systemic human suffering. The ALL-CAPS part of the previous sentence is extremely important for all voters to understand.

Yes, choose compassion whenever you want personally and systemically because it feels good mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Great, thank you. But, most importantly, choose compassion because it is LOGICALLY the BEST way to SOLVE or at least improve upon our systemic social, political, and economic problems. Compassionate decisions and actions, and only compassionate decisions and actions, get after the root of the problems problems that are causing the systemic suffering.

Compassion is the way.
