Techno-Authoritarianism vs Techno-Democracy and the Online Political Evolution

There are two undeniable long term trends emerging in humanity. We have seen both of these things take off in recent decades. First, is the worldwide explosion of new, better, and amazing computer technology. Second, is the worldwide rise in authoritarianism and authoritarian government dynamics, which is discussed extensively in the Voter Directed Democracy book. On a global scale, computer technology is rapidly improving and democracy is increasingly struggling. When these two gigantic, undeniable trends merge the result is techno-authoritarianism.

The sad and terrible truth is that techno-authoritarianism — technology-assisted authoritarianism — is already here. Around the world, authoritarian regimes and Flawed Democracies are using computer technology to surveil, control, and manipulate their citizens. And even here, in the United States, computer technology is being used to reinforce the Oppressed Voter Mindset and ideologies of the broken, flawed, immensely corrupt, often violent, incredibly divisive, and increasingly authoritarian party-driven political system.

When technology supports the consolidation of political power instead of the equal distribution of political power, that’s not democracy. That’s technology-supported authoritarianism.

Even with the U.S. Constitution still intact, we’re already seeing the foundations of a techno-authoritarian state forming — where the tools of human communication, connection, information, and influence are used to divide and conquer and put voters into hateful, ignorant, online echo-chambers. Whereas, these same tools could be used to empower, unify, and bring all voters in each constituency into a single virtual room that gives them the online tools for mass Voter Discussion, Voter Collaboration, and Daily Voting like we do on Voter Directed Network.

That’s why the Online Political Evolution on Voter Directed Network is so important. Modern, evolved, and online democratic republics give voters the power to evolve beyond authoritarian dynamics, to evolve beyond the limitations of Flawed Democracy, and instead to choose techno-democracy — technology-assisted democracy.

A techno-democracy or techno-democratic republic is where technology is used to enhance- not suppress- transparency, accountability, and voter participation. A techno-democratic republic is where every citizen can honestly and openly participate in determining the real Will of the People for every single issue, at all levels of government.

Evolution is the solution.

Techno-Democracy and the Online Political Evolution is the only systemic solution to legalized financial corruption and the party driven problem AND actually gives voters a real chance to unite against the rapidly growing, expanding, and developing forces of techno-authoritarianism.

This is the choice before all voters:
Techno-Authoritarianism or Techno-Democracy and the Online Political Evolution on Voter Directed Network.
Computer technology used for political control or computer technology used for political freedom.
