So, Both Sides Are The Same?

When anyone accurately critiques the entire broken, flawed, immensely corrupt, and increasingly authoritarian divide and conquer party driven political system in the US, a common response is:“So what, you think both sides are the SAME?!”

Just asking that question seriously is an indication that your political mindset has been divided and conquered to some extent by one or both of the two dominant political parties in the US. They got you.

You are trapped in one of the layers of the Oppressed Voter Mindset and you see our country in terms fighting factions, winners and losers, the good voters and the bad voters. Instead of seeing the US as we actually are- one country that can only have one Public Agenda for any given issue. One country that should always be relentlessly learning the real Will of the People from voters and implementing it. One country that overwhelmingly has wanted the same things for decades- liberty, freedom, justice, love, compassion, and community for all. You are thinking exactly as Team Red or Team Blue or both want you to think in order to oppress and control your constitutional political power as a free, liberated, independent voter in the US.

When oppressed, divided, and conquered voters ask questions about “sides”, most voters are asking about the Republican Party and Democratic Party. In other words, divided and conquered voters are asking: “so you think both the Republican Party and Democratic Party are the same?!”

My concise response: No they are not. There are distinguishable and important philosophical and theoretical differences between the Republican Party and Democratic Party. BUT there are also very important philosophical and theoretical similarities between the Republican Party and Democratic Party.

In general, the two parties differ quite significantly in relation to Social Philosophy. The two parties differ slightly in terms of Economic Philosophy. And the two parties are identical in relation to Political Philosophy. Let’s explore these philosophical differences and similarities of the Democratic Party and Republic Party further and more specifically.

Social Philosophy- there are many very notable differences between the Democratic Party and Republican Party. These parties promote very different ideas in relation to the many different government regulated social systems and laws including: education, environment, childcare, agriculture, food, health care, human rights, housing, and others.

Economic Philosophy- there are some differences between the Democratic Party and Republican Party. There are important differences in tax policy in terms of what taxes should be taken and some differences in what the taxes should be used for. But overwhelmingly both the Democratic Party and Republican Party through their recent decades of POLITICAL DECISION AND ACTION (not flowery, compassion-based or freedom-based rhetoric) support the economic corporate agenda and not the economic Will of the People. For decades the economic Will of the People has mostly been the same: build an economy for the many and not the few and ensure perpetual access to the survival needs and human rights of housing, food, water, medicine, and education for all. Instead, every party driven election for decades has essentially been choosing between two forms of economic authoritarianism…Corporatism or Oligarchy.

Political Philosophy- the Democratic Party and Republican Party are identical. The Democratic Party and the Republican Party ARE the broken, flawed, and immensely corrupt party driven political system in the US. They function nearly identically. They divide and conquer. They promote different forms of fear and violence. Lobbyists and “think tanks” write, approve, fund, and promote their platforms, legislation, and executive orders. They systematically ignore the commonsense, logical, intuitive, caring, and compassionate real Will of the People that has asked for the same things from our government for decades.

PLEASE NOTE: Some social, economic, and political philosophical differences are only rhetorical. The two parties say different things. But in practice, their actions are often aligned. They say and verbally promote different social and economic theory, philosophy, and ideas but in practice both parties support mostly maintaining the status quo in terms of the oppressive and violent social, political, and economic party driven and party created systems that exist today.

Why? Corruption. The party driven system and their donors BENEFIT IMMENSELY from the status quo and the human suffering it creates. It’s a simple and horrific cycle: political corruption leads to more wealth, power, and control for the party driven system and their corporate donors which then leads to more political corruption. This dynamic of parallel economic and political corruption is the backbone of any authoritarian political system.

Again, as a result of the ubiquitous legal and illegal corruption the party driven system and their donors BENEFIT FROM THE HUMAN SUFFERING caused by our worst and generational systemic social, political, and economic problems. Terribly, the party driven system is financially incentivized to allow these horrible atrocities to continue generation to generation in order to maintain wealth and power.

It’s also very important to remember that it’s not the individuals that we need to blame and focus our efforts on in order to solve these systemic problems. It’s not really the elected officials that are the problem. Yes, they have the power to choose differently and be an Independent and not give into the legalized corruption of the party driven system. And yes, some elected officials are bad, intentionally ignore the Will of the People, and break laws and should be held accountable for their corruption, lies, and other actions. But overwhelming the real problem is the SYSTEM. The real problem at the root of everything is the party driven SYSTEM that is evil, divisive, and increasingly authoritarian. It is the party driven SYSTEM above and more powerful than any voter, elected official, or individual political party that is the root of the problem. It is the party driven system that the online political evolution on Voter Directed Network directly questions and seeks to change. We must go after the root of the problem. We have tried everything else. Voters have tried for generations to swap out “bad” elected officials for “good” elected officials. Voters have tried for generations to give more power to Team Red and then more power to Team Blue and vice versa in Congress and the White House. Voters have tried for generations to suggest intelligent and logical reforms to the party driven SYSTEM that never get implemented. Thus, it’s truly INSANE at this point to believe that making changes to or within the party driven SYSTEM once again at any level is going to result in the party driven SYSTEM finally implementing the real Will of the People and improving the systems that create widespread, generational human suffering for voters and our children. No. Evolution is the only solution.

Furthermore, when you put good people into a horrifically broken and corrupt system, you still get horrific and corrupt results. This happens all the time. Good people run to be an elected official at the federal level for the correct reasons- to help, to promote freedom and liberty, to make the world a better place, to reduce systemic human suffering etc. But the party-driven corruption is too powerful. It prevents good, logical, fair, just, and compassionate ideas from the real Will of the People from being implemented. Good, kind, reasonable voices from both parties get silenced. Good elected officials are relentlessly pressured to give into the corrupt status quo and ignore their constitutional mandate to implement the real Will of the People.

Again, it is so clearly the party driven SYSTEM that needs to evolve. Every year we try electing new elected officials. That doesn’t work. Every few years we swap out Team Red for Team Blue and Team Blue for Team Red across all branches at all levels of government. That doesn’t work. Voters have tried relentlessly to make changes to and within this immensely broken, flawed, and corrupt party driven system that is stuck in the 1800’s. Despite all of our pro-democracy, pro-democratic republic, pro-compassion efforts decade after decade our worst systemic problems are passed from generation to generation. So it must be the party driven SYSTEM- we have tried changing everything else.

I don’t blame anyone. I don’t blame any individual human. What other choice did they have? Before the online political evolution on Voter Directed Network the ONLY way to get involved was choosing a side of the broken, flawed, and immensely corrupt party driven system. But now EVERYONE- all voters and all voters who are currently in power as elected officials at any level- has a BETTER choice.

ALL VOTERS MUST CHOOSE:

Choose the broken, flawed, immensely corrupt, often violent, incredibly divisive, and increasingly authoritarian status quo that for decades has refused to solve our biggest problems and fix our social, political, and economic systems to be consistent with the real Will of the People because they and their donors benefit from human suffering.

OR

Choose something new. Choose something modern and evolved, honest and transparent, collaborative and cooperative, logical and intuitive. Choose the online political evolution of Voter Directed Democracy on Voter Directed Network.

In other words:

Choose the divide and conquer status quo. Choose the us vs them and the fight and win mentality. Where the “us” is a broken, flawed, and immensely corrupt political party and the “them” are literally your neighbors, friends, family, and other voters that are just as oppressed and silenced as you.

OR

Choose to Evolve and Solve. Choose to evolve to modern, online democratic republics. Choose to empower all voters equally. Choose an online system where we openly and transparently determine the real Will of the People for all issues at all levels of government.

What will you decide?
